State Highway 16 Improvements

Starting Sunday, March 19th Texas Department of Transportation will temporarily have SH16 alternating single-lane closures to excavate and install storm sewer laterals and inlets and to repair pavement following storm sewer lateral installation.  LE officers will be utilized. All lane closures will be weather permitting, and no closures will be performed simultaneously for the main lanes and frontage roads that could conflict with each other or traffic flow.

  • Date: 3/19/2023 to 3/24/2023 from 8 PM to 6 AM
  • Limits:  SH16 NB & SB from Lp 1604 to Circle A Trail
  • SH16 alternating single-lane closures to excavate and install storm sewer laterals and inlets.  LE officers will be utilized.

Starting Sunday, March 12th Texas Department of Transportation will temporarily have SH16 alternating single-lane closures to excavate and install storm sewer laterals and inlets and to repair pavement following storm sewer lateral installation.  LE officers will be utilized. All lane closures will be weather permitting, and no closures will be performed simultaneously for the main lanes and frontage roads that could conflict with each other or traffic flow.

      • Date: 3/12/2023 to 3/17/2023 from 8 PM to 6 AM
      • Limits:  SH16 NB & SB from Lp 1604 to Circle A Trail
      • SH16 alternating single-lane closures to excavate and install storm sewer laterals and inlets.  LE officers will be utilized.
      • Date: 3/13/2023 to 3/17/2023 from 9 AM to 3 PM
      • Limits:  SH16 NB & SB from Lp 1604 to Circle A Trail
      • SH16 alternating single lane closures to repair pavement following storm sewer lateral installation.  LE officers will be utilized at intersections.

Starting Sunday, February 20th Texas Department of Transportation will temporarily have SH16 SB single left lane closure to excavate and install a storm sewer truck line and adjust the elevation of the junction box to minimize traffic impact.  LE officers will be utilized. All lane closures will be weather permitting, and no closures will be performed simultaneously for the main lanes and frontage roads that could conflict with each other or traffic flow.

      • Date: 2/20/2023 at 9 AM to 2/27/2023 3 PM
      • Limits:  SH16 SB from approximately 300ft before Cedar Trail to 150ft after Cedar Trail intersection
      • SH16 SB single left lane closure to excavate and install storm sewer truck line and adjust the elevation of the junction box to minimize traffic impact.  LE officers will be utilized.

Starting Monday, February, 20th Texas Department of Transportation will temporarily have alternating single-lane closures to excavate and install storm sewer laterals and inlets.  LE officers will be utilized when intersections are impacted. All lane closures will be weather permitting, and no closures will be performed simultaneously for the main lanes and frontage roads that could conflict with each other or traffic flow.

      • Date: 2/20/2023 to 2/24/2023 from 9 AM to 3 PM
      • Limits:  SH16 NB & SB from Lp 1604 to Circle A Trail
      • SH16 alternating single-lane closures to excavate and install storm sewer laterals and inlets.  LE officers will be utilized at intersections.

Starting Friday, February 10th Texas Department of Transportation will have EB & WB thru traffic on Cedar Trail will be detoured at SH16 NB or SB to the next intersection or turnaround for installing a storm sewer across the intersection. LE officers will be utilized when intersections are impacted. All lane closures will be weather permitting, and no closures will be performed simultaneously for the main lanes and frontage roads that could conflict with each other or traffic flow.

      • Date: 2/10/2023 at 9 PM to 2/13/2023 at 5 AM
      • Limits:  Cedar Trail EB & WB at SH16 Intersection
      • EB & WB thru traffic on Cedar Trail will be detoured at SH16 NB or SB to the next intersection or turnaround for installing a storm sewer across the intersection.  LE officers will be utilized.

Starting Friday, February 3rd Texas Department of Transportation will have EB & WB thru traffic on Leslie Rd/FM 1560 detoured at SH16 NB or SB to the next intersection or turnaround for the installation of storm sewer across the intersection. LE officers will be utilized when intersections are impacted. All lane closures will be weather permitting, and no closures will be performed simultaneously for the main lanes and frontage roads that could conflict with each other or traffic flow.

      • Date: 2/3/2023 at 9 PM to 2/6/2023 at 5 AM
      • Limits:  Leslie Rd/FM 1560 EB & WB at SH16 Intersection
      • EB & WB thru traffic on Leslie Rd/FM 1560 will be detoured at SH16 NB or SB to the next intersection or turnaround for installing a storm sewer across the intersection.  LE officers will be utilized.

Starting Monday, January 30th  Texas Department of Transportation will temporarily have alternating single-lane closures to reconstruct SAWS sanitary sewer manholes on the shoulders and remove material from the median.  LE officers will be utilized when intersections are impacted. All lane closures will be weather permitting, and no closures will be performed simultaneously for the main lanes and frontage roads that could conflict with each other or traffic flow.

      • Date: 1/30/2023 to 2/3/2023 from 9 AM to 3 PM
      • Limits:  SH16 NB & SB from Lp 1604 to Circle A Trail
      • SH16 alternating single-lane closures to reconstruct SAWS sanitary sewer manholes on the shoulders and remove material from the median.  LE officers will be utilized when intersections are impacted.
