Police Report Requests

Per the Texas Public Information Act” (Government Code, Chapter 552) the public may request copies of police reports. Report requests may be done online or in person. Any incurred fees are set by the Texas Administrative Code (1 TAC 111.6-.70) for requested police reports.

Copies of accident reports may also be requested in accordance with the Transportation Code. Redactions may be made if a request is from a party without interest or association with the accident. Fees for accident reports are set by the Transportation Code (550.065).

NOTE: "Any and all documents" option may require an Attorney General ruling.
(NOTE: The above must obtained in order to determine if you are entitled to a full and complete crash report in accordance with Texas Transportation Code, Section 550.065(c)(4). Persons or entities not listed under Section 550.065(c)(4) may only be entitled to a redacted report in accordance with Section 550.0665(f)(2).
