The Finance Department is responsible for administering and providing control and guidance for all financial matters of the City while complying with all applicable City, State, and Federal mandates. The Department works diligently to provide financial information to the public in a clear and understandable manner. Our goal is to be transparent with the community. City of Helotes received its first Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting Award from the Government Finance Officers Association (GFOA) for its FYE 2020 Comprehensive Annual Financial Report (CAFR). This certificate is the highest form of recognition in the area of governmental accounting and financial reporting.
