The Marketing & Events department is responsible for City communications, including social media and websites. This department coordinates 26 City-sponsored events annually. Some of our most popular events include the Helotes MarketPlace, Cornyval Parade, and Independence Day Celebration with fireworks. The events provide entertainment for Helotians and their families, while also promoting economic development by bringing visitors to our wonderful City.

Helotes MarketPlaceThis is an outdoor arts and crafts market takes place in the Old Town Helotes special district. Interested vendors can learn more on the Helotes MarketPlace website.
Cornyval ParadeThis annual event boasts nearly 100 parade entries. Cornyval is the City’s biggest party of the year!
Helotes Music NightsCome and play yard games and enjoy a live concert performed by the Helotes Area Community Band. There will be food vendors on site!
Independence DayAll are invited to celebrate with us in Helotes! Enjoy food, live music, and a spectacular fireworks show.
Lighting of the LightsFamilies kick off the holiday at City Hall with children choir performances, tree lighting, and a visit from Mr. and Mrs. Claus.
Helotes Hill Country Christmas ParadeThis night parade brings holiday cheer to eager parade goers with all the entries being illuminated in festive lights.
