Helotes Fire & EMS In The Community

Helotes Fire & EMS loves interacting with the Helotes community! These men and women are passionate about fire prevention, household safety, and disaster preparedness. Sharing these skills to protect individuals before a disaster strikes is part of their passion. Some of the ongoing programs of Helotes Fire & EMS include:

  • Visiting area schools and daycare centers to teach young citizens about fire prevention, the importance of smoke detectors, and showing youngsters that firefighters aren’t as scary as their gear can sometimes make them look.
  • Hosting tours of the Fire Station for various organizations and clubs.
  • Participation in community events, including the Helotes Cornyval Parade, Helotes Cowboy Christmas Parade, National Night Out, and more!
  • Raising money for nonprofits and causes, such as participating in the MDA Fill the Boot campaign or using funds raised from t-shirt sales to give back to breast cancer awareness programs.
