Please complete the following Sign Permit Application for all signage projects located within the City of Helotes or its Extraterritorial Jurisdiction (ETJ).
All exterior signage requires Planning & Zoning Commission and City Council approval prior to permitting and installation. The Commission meets on the first Tuesday of each month at 7:00 pm. All application packets must be complete and submitted at least 15 business days prior to the proposed meeting date and will be tentatively scheduled. Application packets submitted after this time will be tentatively scheduled for the next available meeting.
This is a City of Helotes application and should only be submitted if the project is located within the City of Helotes jurisdiction. Applicants are responsible for verifying if an address is located within the City or its ETJ. Find the property on the Bexar County Appraisal District's website at www.bcad.org to confirm permitting jurisdiction before submitting this application. Refunds will not be given for applications submitted that are outside of the City of Helotes jurisdiction. The applicant should also ensure that all information provided on the application is correct before submitting it. Applications may also be completed in person at the Development Services Department located at City Hall. Applications can take up to 10 business days to process.
