About

The Development Services department serves both commercial and residential development needs by overseeing platting, zoning, permitting, licensing, building inspections, and certificates of occupancy.

Codes Adopted by the City

The City of Helotes has adopted the following federal, state, and local building codes.  The codes provide the minimum requirements for structural, plumbing, electrical, mechanical, fire safety, energy conservation, and sewage disposal:
