Cancelled Annexation Public Hearing

Update 1/2/2025 – The public hearing scheduled on Thursday, January 9, 2025, is canceled due to a clerical error in how the legal description was advertised to the public. The public hearing will be rescheduled with proper notice given to the public.

The City Council will hold a public hearing on the proposed extension of the Helotes municipal boundaries through the voluntary annexation of a parcel of land on Shaenfield Road, near its intersection with FM 1560. The subject property abuts the CVS Pharmacy Store and is described as:

  • A 6.714-acre tract of land out of the Manuel M. Musquiz Survey No. 80, Abstract 467, in Bexar County, Texas, BCAD Property Tax ID No. 236169.

 

A public hearing will be held on Thursday, January 9, 2025, at 7:00 p.m, in the City Hall Council Chambers, 12951 Bandera Road, Helotes, Texas 78023.  All interested persons are invited to appear and be heard on the proposed voluntary annexation.

The voluntary annexation is contiguous to the current city limits of Helotes, in the City’s exclusive Extraterritorial Jurisdiction (ETJ). An item report by City Staff will be available when the City Council Agenda is posted to consider this item. Agendas are posted at least 72 hours before the date of the meeting.
