Brush & Bulk Collection Guidelines – What to Know
If your brush or bulk items were not collected by Frontier Waste Solutions, it may be due to one or more of the following issues:
-
Items exceeded the 12 cubic yard limit (this is a combined total for both brush and bulk).
-
Items contained prohibited materials, such as tires, paint, or construction debris.
-
Items were placed out after your designated collection week.
-
Items were set too far from the curb or blocked by vehicles, poles, or other obstacles.
-
Items from multiple households were combined, which is not permitted.
All items must be placed properly and in accordance with City of Helotes regulations. Materials left out past your pickup week must be removed from the street, sidewalk, or front yard. Failure to do so may result in enforcement action under Helotes Code of Ordinances Chapter 70 – Solid Waste; Article I. Collection and Disposal; Sec. 70-4 Prohibited Acts.
Per Sec. 70-5, violations may result in fines ranging from $25 to $2,000 per offense, with each day of non-compliance considered a separate offense.
To help protect your neighborhood, you can report illegal dumping through the City of Helotes SeeClickFix app.
Reminder for Property Owners
If you hire someone to trim your trees or clean up your yard, it’s your responsibility to make sure they haul away the debris within 48 hours. The City will not collect tree limbs, cuttings, or yard waste left behind by contractors.
Per Ordinance Sec. 70-41, debris not removed within 48 hours is considered illegal dumping, and the property owner may face penalties.
