House Moving Permit

Please complete the following House Moving Permit Application for all building projects located within the City of Helotes. 
 
This is a City of Helotes application and should only be submitted if the project is located within the City of Helotes jurisdiction. Applicants are responsible for verifying if an address is located within the City. Find the property on the Bexar County Appraisal District's website at www.bcad.org to confirm permitting jurisdiction before submitting this application. Refunds will not be given for applications submitted that are outside of the City of Helotes jurisdiction. The applicant should also ensure that all information provided on the application is correct before submitting it. Applications can take up to 10 business days to process.

Note:  A preliminary inspection fee shall be paid to the City.  The Building Inspector shall then inspect the structure to be moved and determine whether or not the structure and its intended location and use thereon fully comply with the provisions of all applicable Code requirements.  If approved, a final permit fee shall be paid within sixty (60) days after the granting of such preliminary approval.  Security (cash deposit, U.S. “bearer” bonds, or a surety bond payable to the City) in the amount of One Thousand Dollars ($1,000.00) and such rewriting shall be conditional upon the completion of the foundation and the moving and installation thereon of such structure within ninety (90) days of the issuance of a final permit.
